Canyojn Doors cliff, Gauley River West Virginia VacationFall in West Virginia is something to behold, and the autumn view from the edge of the New River Gorge, is one we look forward to it all year long.  We're still a couple weeks away from peak color, but it's not too early to start dreaming of our mountains aglow with yellows and oranges with the fog rising up off the New River.

West Virginia family vacations this time of year are something special.  Mornings are crisp, days are warm, and the Gauley River is flowing big through mountainsides bursting with color.  And all the rain we've had means not only great rafting, but lots of leaves ready to turn.

This time of year lots of folks sign up for a West Virginia cabin rental on the New River Gorge - things book fast due to the rush of Gauley Season for 6 sweet weeks in September and October. Come on over to WV and kick some leaves this fall.  See you soon!
